Child Anxiety Therapy | Teen Counseling | Trauma Therapy | TF-CBT | Parent Support

Hi, I'm Tiffany Sullivan, and I provide therapy for children, adolescents, and families in Philadelphia. I specialize in helping young people navigate anxiety, trauma, school-related stress, emotional regulation difficulties, and major life transitions.

Many of the children and teens I work with are struggling in ways that aren't always visible to others. They may worry constantly, have difficulty managing big emotions, become overwhelmed by academic expectations, withdraw from relationships, or experience behavioral changes that reflect underlying distress. Therapy can provide a safe space to understand these experiences, build coping skills, strengthen confidence, and develop healthier ways of navigating life's challenges.

I often work with children and teens who:

  • Experience anxiety, excessive worry, perfectionism, or fear of making mistakes.

  • Struggle with school stress, academic pressure, or difficulty balancing responsibilities.

  • Have experienced trauma or stressful life events and need support processing those experiences.

  • Have difficulty with emotional regulation, including anger, irritability, sadness, or feeling overwhelmed.

  • Are experiencing friendship challenges, social stress, or feelings of isolation.

  • Are navigating family transitions, including divorce, separation, grief, or changes in the home.

  • Struggle with self-esteem and confidence and would benefit from developing a stronger sense of self.

  • Need additional support developing healthy coping skills and resilience.

  • I also support parents by helping them:

    • Better understand their child's emotional and behavioral needs.

    • Develop practical strategies for responding to anxiety and emotional distress at home.

    • Improve communication and reduce family conflict.

    • Support their child through school-related challenges and transitions.

    • Strengthen their connection with their child during difficult seasons.

    • Build confidence in their parenting while navigating stressful situations.

My approach

I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and other evidence-based approaches tailored to each child's unique strengths, needs, and developmental stage.

I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where children and teens feel safe, understood, and empowered to express themselves openly. Through skill-building, emotional exploration, and supportive guidance, I help young people increase self-awareness, improve coping skills, and develop greater confidence in themselves and their relationships.

Therapy is not about fixing children. Rather, it is about helping them recognize their strengths, better understand their emotions, and develop the tools they need to thrive both now and in the future.

Tiffany’s Training & Experience

Tiffany is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She earned her Master’s degree in Community and Trauma Counseling from Thomas Jefferson University. While she has experience working across the lifespan, her primary clinical focus is supporting children, adolescents, and families.

Tiffany has extensive experience providing individual, family, and group therapy in a variety of settings, including partial hospitalization programs, outpatient clinics, primary care practices, and community-based environments. This background allows her to understand how early experiences, attachment patterns, and thought processes shape emotional wellbeing, behavior, and relationships over time.

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step for both children and parents. If you’re wondering whether therapy might be helpful for your child or teen, Tiffany would be honored to connect and see if it feels like a good fit.

Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.
