Specialty Areas
Many people who come to therapy feel stuck in patterns that seem difficult to change. You may find yourself experiencing intense emotions, struggling in relationships, or feeling overwhelmed by reactions that are hard to control or understand. Dr. Ballard specializes in working with adults navigating complex trauma, emotional regulation challenges, and long-standing relational patterns that impact daily life and relationships.
Many of the individuals she works with feel caught in repeating relationship dynamics, difficulty managing overwhelming emotions, or patterns shaped by earlier life experiences. Therapy focuses on helping clients better understand these patterns while developing healthier ways of responding to emotions and relationships.
Therapy Approach
Dr. Ballard’s approach to therapy is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based treatments. She integrates approaches such as EMDR and other trauma-focused therapies to help clients process difficult experiences and reduce the emotional intensity connected to past events.
Her work focuses on helping clients develop emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and build more effective ways of navigating relationships and life stressors. Therapy is a collaborative process where clients are supported in gaining insight into patterns while developing practical strategies for change.
