How much does an assessment cost?

Invest in clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.

Our comprehensive ADHD Assessment is more than just a test, it is a powerful step toward understanding yourself or your teen. The total cost is $6,985, which includes:

  • A detailed clinical interview

  • In-depth cognitive and behavioral testing

  • A comprehensive written report

The insights gained inform school or workplace accommodations, treatment planning, or can simply be a way to help you move forward with great confidence.

You are worth this level of care, and we are here to walk with you every step of the way.

FAQs

Why Choose a Clinical Psychologist for Psychological Assessments?

Clinical psychologists bring a depth of training and expertise that makes them uniquely qualified to conduct psychological evaluations. Their work is grounded in years of doctoral-level education, supervised clinical experience, and advanced training in testing, diagnosis, and clinical interpretation.

At Chestnut Hill Therapy Collective, our psychologists go far beyond surface-level screenings. They are trained to evaluate and integrate a wide range of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral data to develop a clear and accurate understanding of each person’s strengths and challenges.

This level of clinical insight allows us to identify whether a condition like ADHD is present, while also considering how other factors, such as trauma, anxiety, or learning differences, may be contributing to your experience. When you work with a clinical psychologist, you can feel confident that the evaluation is conducted with professionalism, care, and a deep commitment to ethical standards.

A high-quality assessment can provide more than just answers. It can offer clarity, direction, and a foundation for meaningful growth.

Do You Accept Insurance for ADHD Assessments?

To offer the most thoughtful and personalized care, we do not currently bill insurance for psychological assessments. This allows us to spend the time that’s truly needed to understand your concerns, complete a thorough evaluation, and provide meaningful recommendations, without the restrictions that often come with insurance plans.

However, many clients are able to use their out-of-network benefits for reimbursement. We’re happy to provide the necessary documentation to support your submission if you choose to pursue that option with your insurance provider.

What Does the ADHD Assessment Process Involve?

Our ADHD assessment process includes a combination of structured interviews, standardized testing, and clinical observation. Each part of the evaluation is designed to explore areas that are often impacted by ADHD, such as attention, memory, mood regulation, executive functioning, learning, and day-to-day functioning.

This process helps us understand your unique strengths and challenges. We’re not just looking for symptoms, we’re looking for patterns, possibilities, and deeper insights that can help explain what you’ve been experiencing.

The results of the assessment provide a clear picture of whether ADHD is present, or whether another diagnosis might better explain your concerns. Either way, you’ll receive personalized feedback and practical recommendations tailored to your life, your goals, and your needs.

A comprehensive assessment doesn’t just clarify what’s going on. It creates a foundation for meaningful support, informed decision-making, and a clearer path forward.

What Should I Bring to the Evaluation?

We want you to feel as comfortable as possible during your assessment. Since testing can take several hours, we recommend bringing a water bottle or something to drink, as well as a light snack or anything else that will help you stay focused and at ease throughout the process.

Will I Receive a Diagnosis?

You might. One of the goals of a psychological assessment is to better understand your experiences and determine whether a diagnosis, like ADHD or another condition, accurately reflects what you’re going through.

That said, a diagnosis is never assumed or guaranteed. Our focus is on evaluating your full psychological profile with care and precision. If a diagnosis is appropriate, it will be included in your report along with clear explanations and recommendations. If not, you’ll still receive valuable insights into your strengths, challenges, and next steps.

The goal is clarity, not labels, for whatever is truly going on in your life.
