Eliza’s Specialty Areas
Eliza works with children, adolescents, and families who are navigating behavioral challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, family conflict, trauma, anxiety, ADHD, and attachment concerns. Many of the families Eliza supports come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to help their child when traditional strategies have not worked. Eliza has experience supporting families around communication breakdowns, caregiver alignment, and strengthening the parent–child relationship. She has also co-led group sessions focused on parenting skills and child-led play, helping caregivers better understand their child’s emotional and behavioral needs
Eliza’s Therapy Approaches
Eliza works with both individuals and families and believes the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. Her approach is trauma-informed and focuses on understanding the core emotions, relational patterns, and unmet needs beneath presenting behaviors. Eliza incorporates body-based interventions, mindfulness, creativity, movement, and Eco-Systemic Family Therapy (ESFT) when clinically appropriate. Her work is especially helpful for children who struggle to express themselves verbally and for families who benefit from experiential, relationship-focused interventions. When working with school-aged children, Eliza values collaboration with caregivers, schools, and other providers as part of the therapeutic process when appropriate.
Eliza’s Training & Experience
Eliza earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Radford University and a Master of Science in Dance/Movement Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Drexel University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT) and a certified Eco-Systemic Family Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania.
Eliza provides therapy for children, adolescents, and families in Center City and throughout the greater Philadelphia area, with in-person and telehealth options available.
