Eliza’s Specialty Areas
Eliza has worked with children, adolescents, and families for several years, addressing behavioral concerns, family communication, trauma, anxiety, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, attachment concerns, and co- caregiver alliance work. Eliza also has experience co-leading group sessions on parenting skills and child-led play.
Eliza’s Therapy Approaches
Eliza works with both individuals and families. She believes in being trauma-informed and cultivating a therapeutic relationship as the foundation to address the individual needs of each client. Eliza encourages clients to find the core concerns, emotions, and relational patterns beneath their presenting problem. In her work with clients, Eliza empowers clients to find lasting growth and healing. Eliza incorporates body-based interventions, mindfulness, creativity, movement, and Eco-Systemic Family (ESFT)Therapy when applicable to the client and the therapeutic process. When working with school-aged families, Eliza also values communication and collaboration with all other members of the care team when clinically appropriate.
Eliza’s Training & Experience
Eliza earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from Radford University and a Master of Science (MS) in Dance Movement/Therapy and Mental Health counseling from Drexel University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist BC- `DMT in the state of Pennsylvania.
