Rachel works with adolescents, college students, and adults who experience anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, low self-esteem, post-traumatic stress/PTSD, grief and loss, intense emotions, and stress related to school, work, and life transitions. Rachel understands the challenges her clients face when dealing with these symptoms and her goal is to support them in gaining a deeper understanding of their lived experiences and enhance their ability to effectively manage their emotions.

Therapy approaches

Rachel draws from several modalities in her work, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, all of which are rooted in trauma-informed care. Rachel finds that a balance between process-oriented approaches and skills acquisition can be effective for clients looking to process their experiences and make changes in their lives. Above all else, Rachel values therapist-client connection as she has seen strong therapeutic rapport lead to client empowerment and change.

Training & experience

Rachel earned her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Pennsylvania. She also earned a Home and School Visitor (HSV) Certification as well as a Certificate in Organizational Leadership. Rachel holds a License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) and has completed intensive trainings in several modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems among others. Rachel is actively working towards becoming a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
